Getting Started​

  • Use this link to create your Slack account and join the LeanScale organization (LINK)
  • Use Google to login (@leanScale.team)
  • Download the Slack Desktop App (HERE)

Preferences​

  • Notifications — configure to your liking
  • Navigation — customize sidebar layout
  • Other preferences as needed
  • Sections — organize your channels into sections
  • Good idea to create a section for your account's key channels

Notifications Per Channel​

  • You can set notification preferences per channel (right-click channel > notification preferences)

Hotkeys / Shortcuts​

  • CMD+K = Universal search
    • You basically never have to scroll through the left sidebar — this is a game changer, don't sleep on using this!
  • CMD+F = Search within a channel
    • If you're already on a channel and want to search within it
  • Remind me — To get a follow-up notification on a message:
    • 3 dots > Remind me about this > Set time (easiest way to follow up on a message)
